I just stopped the service, and started it back again. And I dont believe in computer self-acting I say "obvious", because we obviously changed something, since it doesnt work anymore. No need to say we didnt change anything obvious on friday, we didnt make any windows update (i checked winupdate logs), we are not behind a firewall on the server. Its kind of critical now, and im tired as hell (with a headache coming for sure, and the big question : why on earth did I choose to sysadmin ^^). Since I was using hMailServer 4.3, I upgraded it (its now the latest stable one). I've been looking for 8 hours yesterday, but couldnt find anything close to a solution. Our server is behind a switch, port 25 is open and redirected to the server adress. all the websites are still online, and reachable from outside i can send email to outside and inside net workĤ. I can receive emails from inside the networkģ. I can't receive email from outside the networkĢ. I check the logs (hMail and ASSP), and there is like 10% of normal activity, and its been like that since friday afternoon (but no1 works on week-end here, so i didnt notice it).ġ. This monday, i come to work, and no mails incoming. Its running on Windows 2003 server, in a small office (15 workers).Īctive Directory running, webserver running (IIS), hosting about 10 websites. I've been using hMailServer for a while now, with close to no problems. I'm (supposed to be ) sysadmin where i work.
